Is being an Apprentice valuable in toady's Cosmetic Tattoo Industry?

I have been very lucky that one of my former students has agreed to be an apprentice. I have 3 very busy locations and try to take some longer vacations. It is a great relief knowing that I have someone who can fill my shoes if the need arises. Nicole does her own advertising and lines up her own clients. However, we work out of the same studio. In my opinion if you find someone you can work with it just brings more awareness to the studio. If you are a new artist you may want to take a look at who is in your area. Is there someone you respect? Is there someone that you would like to learn from? Is there someone that you would grow with and help to build there business as well?

If the answer to any of those questions is "yes", then it maybe worth approaching that person. In the body art world, that is how they work. Apprentice ships are common and it is common to see 3 or 4 artists working out of the same location.
